New Site

As I finally get more and more SW Costumes in my personal closet (four to date!) I realize that this site needs a major update. A way for it to be easier to manage link wise, and easier for me to add walkthroughts and content to.

To that end, I'll probably be switching it out to a Drupal content management system whenever I can figure out how to do that and not have to take this site down while I'm doing it :P

Costume Status - June/July

So my Biker Scout is undone again, since I'm doing some more helmet mods. All I have to do though is add the visor and it's recomplete - just in time to get my Altmann's this Saturday! Yay! :)

The Rebel Fleet Trooper is complete as well, and Jocasta Nu is in full swing. I've also started a Mustafar Padme costume, and once those are done I'll have pictures of all of them (including construction photos) posted to the site. But probably not before, as I've got to use the time to get ready for D*C!

Updates!

I'm actively working on 3 SW costumes at the moment:

ROTJ Biker Scout
AOTC Jocasta Nu
ANH Rebel Fleet Trooper (No creation blog yet)

The biker Scout is nearly done - pictures can be found here of the various items involved in the costume (more coming!) and you can click above to read my creation blog. Once it's fully done I'll be also putting together a full walkthrough of each piece of the costume for those who want to make it themselves.

As always, if you've got links and walkthroughs that you think would be great if added to a specific section of the site, let me know in the comments and I'll add!

Dressing a Galaxy - Arrived!

My limited edition of Dressing a Galaxy arrived last week, and not only was I not dissapointed one bit, I'm almost surprised at the small(?) price that I paid :P

Jedibitch.Com Changes!

Two major things, really.

  1. To assist in keeping the pages current, I swapped the front page to a blogger style interface. It'll make it easier to get news and update info right on the front page.
  2. Our forums, which got a good amount of visiting traffic, but not a lot of posting traffic anymore, have been merged with the Star Wars Forums at Phatooine.net! I've been an admin on that site for quite some time now, and it really made sense. Plus, they've got a great community there, and there's already traffic and more posting going on!
The old boards are still available, linked from the front page over there on the right hand side. There's some great reference information in there if you're looking for something as well.

As always, if you want to contribute or add a link to a new costume tutorial site, drop me a line at stitchery at jedibitch dot com.

costuming orgasm

i am a costuming geek. i have never made any secret of this. my one shortfall has been starwars costuming, which is my biggest interest too, oddly enough. :P i

i've managed to make other costumes, but i keep waiting to lose weight before i make any of of the sw ones. i'm on my way there thankfully, and also putting that aside, probably going to D*C with two - one bought from someone mostly, and one done by me.

but this... this is like a costuming bible for me. i'm seriously geeking out here over this, which lowers my acceptable use score for the general public considerably, but i don't care. it turns my crank. i mean... look. look!
